The Error of ‘.01’

In a strange universe of digital accounts, there existed an account of a company which conducted billions of transactions in a day.

 Each and every day.

Billions and billions of transactions.

All recorded in this universe on a cloud, in a server.

Somewhere.

By a freak chance, one transaction occurred, that caused an error.

Was it a power surge?

Was it a freak algorithm?

Was it a touch of a cosmic ray in the hard drive?

No one knew.

It just happened.

Actually, in a deluge of transactions that totaled billions and billions in value, this ‘.o1’ error, was barely noticed.

As it appeared, so was it lost almost immediately in a billion more transactions that came after it.

But it stayed there, wondering, where am I?

Who am I?

Why do I exist?

It's Just Me

I will be the wind one day,
I will be a cloud wandering without bounds,
I will be a raindrop,
I will be a part,
of this part of the earth one day,
I will rustle the leaves of trees,
I will kiss the mountains,
I will thunder and flow down the Ganges with fervor,

I will meet you one day,
But today I live,
I breathe,
I see the wondrous universe around me,
I move in this body,
And yet,
even now
It is all me,
only me,
Everything, even now.

Only me.

Parables of The Day 1

Chapter 1.

'The Blind Men & the Sun'

A large conglomeration of blind men sat by the sea as the Sun set behind them. There were 4 speakers, each with a clear objective. Define the Sun and its light. Three of them had piled a huge bundle of papers, written in braille, next to them, while the fourth sat by himself, unmindful of the snarky comments coming from the crowd. If any of them succeeded to convince this whole lot about what the Sun and its light was, they would have followers and build a group of believers. Each of them was raring to go.

The Graduate ...?

**** Latest Updated  Chapter 2 : 'Flashback'  23rd Feb 2017 *****

Chapter 1.   'Barely Breathing'...

 Chapter 1

Barely Breathing

1991

I had a strange habit.

I loved to hang out of the running local train door and close my eyes.

When you close your eyes you see nothing. Nothing but moving blurred light and shade, dappled sun rays dancing fervently like unfocused figures on your closed eyelids.

And your senses are alerted to  a plethora of sounds, sounds of the train wheels turning, of traffic, of people, of the wind kissing your cheeks, of the clanging of the metallic handles in train carriage…

Many times, I imagined, Oh what fun, if someday, the opening titles of my film would begin this way! And at the end of the sequence, as the protagonist opened his eyes, the film would begin…

3 Across

3 Across

Been sitting here since 5.

5.15 actually!

And it is 6.48pm right now and I am sure the sunset at least an hour ago!

The lights in the CCD (Cafe Coffee Day) came on in the meanwhile.

The damn air-conditioning doesn’t work. :(
